Dynamic QR code analytics for shops and campaigns

Measure QR campaigns with separate codes per placement and compare visits and goal clicks over the same period and timezone. These events are not unique people or revenue; verify purchases separately.

Set up a measurable dynamic QR campaign

  1. Define one action you can observe, such as opening a menu, clicking a booking button or saving a coupon. Do not call a visit a sale.

  2. Create a separate campaign for each placement you can act on. A counter card and a window poster may use the same destination but should have different campaign addresses.

  3. Enter source, medium, placement and optional campaign cost. Print one sample, confirm the final destination and test the real code on more than one phone.

  4. Compare the same time window and time zone. Keep the message stable until each placement has enough visits, then change one element and measure again.

What QRhop records

Eligible requests can contribute coarse country, device, browser, language, source, placement and button-click categories. Privacy signals and known bots are excluded. QRhop campaign analytics do not keep visitor names, raw IP addresses, tracking cookies or identifiers that connect separate visits.

Visits, clicks and purchases are different

A visit means the campaign address was requested. A landing click means a button was selected during an eligible visit. A purchase requires a separate verified transaction or merchant record. Repeated scans, previews and shared devices mean event counts should not be described as unique customers.

How destination changes work

The printed campaign address remains the same while the owner edits its destination or landing page. Time and language rules take priority over the optional 50:50 destination variant. A paused campaign stops serving the managed experience, so long-running print projects need an owner and a review schedule.

Read cost per result carefully

QRhop can divide the campaign cost you enter by recorded visits or goal-click visits. This is an operational comparison, not audited return on ad spend. Include printing and distribution consistently, compare the same currency, and leave the field empty when costs are not comparable.

Free and Premium scope

A signed-in account can try one free dynamic QR with seven days of basic analytics and a monthly recording limit of 100 eligible visits. Premium supports more campaign addresses, longer retention, business comparisons and exports. Current limits and tax details are shown on the Premium and checkout pages.

Dynamic QR analytics questions

Can a dynamic QR identify age or gender?

No. Those details cannot be reliably inferred from a scan. Ask through a clearly explained optional survey when the information is necessary.

Will changing the destination change the printed QR?

No. The QRhop campaign address stays stable. The owner changes where that address sends the visitor.

Does a goal click prove revenue?

No. It records an eligible button click. Use a verified checkout or merchant transaction to measure revenue.

Calculate visits, goal-click rate and cost

All numbers below are fictional teaching data. They are not QRhop traffic, customers, sales or a live analytics screenshot.

PlacementVisitsLanding visitsGoal-click visitsCost (USD)Goal-click rateUSD / visitUSD / goal-click visit
A120100183018%0.251.67
B6060123020%0.502.50
C0000———

For A, 18 ÷ 100 = 18%. The denominator is landing-page visits, not all 120 visits: the other 20 are redirects. Repeated goal clicks within a recorded visit count once. USD 30 ÷ 120 = USD 0.25 per visit; USD 30 ÷ 18 ≈ USD 1.67 per goal-click visit.

B has a higher goal-click rate (20%) but a higher cost per goal-click visit (USD 2.50). Decide which metric fits the campaign goal before comparing. C has no denominator, so its result is unavailable (—), not 0% or free acquisition. Eligible visits exclude privacy signals and known bots; these aggregates cannot count unique people or prove a purchase.
